The class was partnered up and they used Pixie on the ipads to create a drawing of the ocean floor. They labeled the parts of the ocean. Afterwards, they saved their projects to the camera roll where they then imported it into the Tellagami app as the background. In Tellagami, the kids had fun creating an avatar to use as the presenter for their presentation of the ocean floor. Check out some examples of their recordings below. Great job fifth graders! To integrate technology, I introduced them to the Shadow Puppets app on the ipads. The teacher made story mats and had manipulatives to accompany them. After the children took a photo of each mat using the ipad's camera, they then uploaded the photos to Shadow Puppets. There, they recorded their voices reading their story problems.
